Our Story

Pattana Yangyuen Foundation (PYY) or Enlighten-Sustainable Development Foundation in English was established on 30 November 2010. This foundation was founded by Professor Dr. Anon Bunyaratwet, a council member of a Royal Graduate Office of Science at the Royal Society. He previously held the position of Deputy Director of Ramathibodi Hospital and a Deputy Director of the Institute of Science and Technology Research and Development (Institute of Molecular Biosciences), Mahidol University. Dr. Anon Bunyaratwet later was appointed to become the director of the National Research Council of Thailand (National Research Council of Thailand:NRCT).

Professor Dr. Ahnond had managed on national research projects at NRCT for 4 years. He saw more than 200,000 research projects and established a systematic research data by using information technology. That is why he not only knows many researchers but deep understands in the strength of research aspects done in Thailand as well.

After retirement He has the intention to carry out integrated research in every field, that has the vision and potential, in order to help people and humanity. Therefore, the Enlighten-Sustainable Development Foundation was established. Professor Dr. Ahnond has brought his experience and good relationships with others both working as a university researcher and as an administrator of the National Research of Thailand (NRCT) to apply the knowledge to benefit.

For this reason, Bau Bart Institute, an institute for sustainable quality of life, was established to support work in all field researches. With good relationships, the Bua bat Institute receives good cooperation not only with agencies but with researchers both domestically and abroad as well.

The Enlightened-Sustainable Development Foundation embraces the royal advice of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, and we will implement various projects of the Enlightenment-Sustainable Development Foundation for the benefit of the public and mankind for sustainable development.

Objectives:

• Develop, support and publish academic knowledges to mankind for sustainable development
• Promote and conduct research that creates beneficial knowledge for helping humanity
• Expand public charity activities to be more extensive, respectively, from the community, country, and world levels. The PYY Foundation will promote, support, cooperate and establish organizations or projects with the objective of developing humanity and the world for sustainability
• Creating awareness for Thai people to be aware of Thainess and create good deeds
• Using the logic of “Truth of Wisdom” to promote the creation of the world's humanity towards “Massive global citizen society” that focuses on Peaceful Happiness
• Foundation has no any involvement in political orientation
